Classes
What age groups do you teach?
We teach from walking age up to 18-year-olds.
How many children can take part in a children’s centre or nursery?
We can take up to a maximum of 15 children (depending on the space available) per 30-minute class with a teaching assistant in the room.
How many children can take part in a school?
We can take up to a maximum of 30 children (depending on the space available) per 30-minute class with a teaching assistant in the room.
How much are the classes?
Classes start from £35 per half-hour session with a minimum booking of an hour.
Are your instructors qualified?
Yes. All instructors are fully accredited by Yoga Alliance and have undergone an extensive yoga teacher training course.
Do you offer classes over half term?
Yes!
Do you offer one-off workshops?
Yes we do offer one-off workshops, e.g., for bullying, self‐esteem, sports week, healthy week etc.
Do you operate all year round?
Yes we do, except on Bank Holidays.
How do we pay?
Payment is made by BACS only.
Do you offer online classes?
Yes we do. Please contact us for more information.
Can we book for one term only?
Yes you can but you get a greater discount for a longer term booking.
Do you offer mindfulness classes only?
Yes, we can tailor-make a mindfulness course to suit your needs (e.g. SATS preparation, transition, bullying, self-esteem etc.).
Are the classes suitable for children with SEN?
Yes. All our classes are fully inclusive and great for children with SEN.
Can I use Pupil Premium to fund the classes?

Do you have specific classes for boys only?
Yes. Our teenage boys yoga classes are designed to incorporate strength, balance and flexibility, focusing specifically on shoulders, hips and hamstrings. These classes complement their existing sporting activities.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 48 hour notice period to cancel a class. If you need to cancel a term, we will need at least a month’s notice.

What is BEAM Academy?
BEAM Academy is a one-stop shop for children’s yoga and mindfulness training, classes in education establishments and a subscription service for ongoing support and resources.

Can I speak to someone before I book?
Yes, absolutely. Please contact us and our trainer will arrange for a phone or zoom call.
Are the online teacher training courses live?
Yes! All teacher training courses are live online.
Where do you do the training?
Trainings will be held online and in person (see training details for location).
Is online yoga teacher training worth it?
Absolutely – you will do the same training hours as you would do in person and you also receive a full accreditation when you complete the course.
How often are teacher trainings held?
Teacher trainings are held, on average, every three months.
Which yoga teacher training should I do?
Depending on your circumstances and where you are on your yoga journey, we have a variety of training courses for you to choose from. Each course will provide you with the tools and knowledge you need to build and enhance your yoga career and practice.
What accreditation do I get with the teacher training?
Upon completion of the course, you will receive an accreditation with Yoga Alliance.
Which online yoga teacher training is best?
All of them.
What does yoga teacher training cost?
The cost is dependent on the type of course and number of hours it is accredited for.
Does yoga teacher training expire?
No. But as with most things it’s an ongoing learning process. You can always enhance your yoga learning experience by signing up to further trainings.
Why should I train with BEAM Academy?
We have years of experience of working with children.
Do I need to do a pre-requisite course?
Our courses do not require a pre-requisite course. However for the yoga courses we do require a strong personal yoga practice before signing up.
Can you do yoga teacher training as a beginner?
Yes. But if you have any medical conditions or are pregnant, please let us know and consult with your doctor first before signing up for a course.
Can I speak to the trainer before I book?
Yes of course you can.
What language will the courses be taught in?
Our courses are taught in English.
Can you do yoga teacher training while pregnant?
The answer is not black and white. If you’re pregnant it is essential that you get the okay from your doctor and that your due date is far past the completion date of your teacher training. It also depends on what type of training you are doing, how strong your practice is, and other factors.
Can you fail yoga teacher training?
Although there is no actual exam, online trainees will be assessed throughout the course on attendance, participation, assignments and personal practice. If the training is face to face then you would also be required to teach a class to the group.
What is yoga teacher training like and what does it involve?
Each YTT (yoga teacher training) is different and involves a variety of things. Generally speaking, you will learn: asanas and how to modify, pranayama, verbal cues, anatomy, meditation/visualisation.
