Meet Tuesday: Children's Yoga Teacher at BEAM ACADEMY

meet our teachers Jul 27, 2022
Beam Academy Childrens Yoga Teacher

Hi everyone I’m Tuesday!

Since I was a child I remember always being interested and aware of yoga and mindfulness.
I started my yoga teacher journey four years ago in India where I practiced Ashtanga. I go back as often as I can to practice further and deepen my understanding of yoga.

My training in includes Vinyasa flow, Ashtanga, rocket yoga, and kids yoga. I was looking after my goddaughter and she really wanted to try yoga so I showed her some postures and a yoga sequence and she absolutely loved it and now goes to kids yoga classes.

I guess that is what sparked the idea to become a kids yoga instructor. Yoga & mindfulness provide so many benefits to people of all ages but especially children such as emotional regulation, body awareness, and improved concentration and memory all whilst being super fun! I’m so happy to be joining Beam academy and being a part of bringing yoga and mindfulness to kids educational establishments.

Here are 5 Questions To Get To Know Tuesday

1. Who is your hero and why?
David Bowie is my hero because despite being a truly aspirational artist having released 27 albums in his lifetime he never faltered to express himself proudly to the world. He was unique and different and never dimmed his light to fit in.

2. What is your proudest accomplishment?
My proudest accomplishment is having travelled a lot because of the amazing people I met and the fantastic experiences I had whilst travelling. I think leaving everything you know and setting off without a plan takes a lot of guts. You have to have an open mind and adapt to different situations and surroundings… so I'm proud that I managed to do that for quite a while.

3. What do you do to unwind?
I'm a bit of a self help addict and I also love nature so I do love to go on a long walk and then to wind down with a good book with a cup of chai tea. I'm also into journaling which I find really relaxing and centering.

4. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Panama, as it has gorgeous natural beauty, white sand beaches, beautiful mountains and vibrant cities. It has a low cost of living, security, a laid back lifestyle and a strong international community.

5. Does your family have a motto spoken or unspoken?
We don't really have one single motto, more principles which are ,to truly live in the present, to follow your intuition and what makes you happy , be an adventurer and be a good person
