Meet Ife: Children's Yoga Teacher

About Ife
Hi! I’m Ife (pronounced like Ee-fa). I’m 29, originally from California and I’ve been practicing
yoga on and off since I was 19. I’m a storyteller at heart, a lifelong mover and someone who’s
always been fascinated by the way our bodies carry emotion, memory and imagination.
Alongside yoga, I’ve spent many years playing and coaching tennis, which shaped my
appreciation for focus and discipline in movement.
My yoga journey began as a personal practice, a space to reconnect with myself, slow down
and listen. Over time, it grew into something I wanted to share, especially with children. I love
creating classes that feel safe and engaging, where kids can explore their bodies, breath and
creativity without pressure. For me, yoga is about curiosity rather than perfection, and learning
how to be present with whatever shows up.
Teaching Philosophy
I believe yoga for children should feel playful, grounding and empowering, a space where
movement and self-trust can grow together.
Favorite Pose:
My favorite asana is Plow Pose (Halasana). I love how deeply it stretches and lengthens the
spine while asking you to engage your core and find stability. It feels both grounding and
introspective, a reminder that strength and softness can exist at the same time.
5 Favourite Activities:
1. Writing
2. Caring for plants
3. Traveling and exploring new cuisines and cultures
4. Thrifting
5. Baking
Top 5 Shows:
1. Blue Eye Samurai
2. What We Do in the Shadows
