Children’s Bedtime Yoga Sequence

January is when everyone starts talking about New Year’s Resolutions, healthy habits and as we like to call it a Drishti (focal point).
 

So why not take an imaginary walk through the park and practice these yoga poses with your little ones. This is a great little sequence of poses to do before bed and especially after the holiday sugar rush.
 
Create a space where you can move around comfortably.  You can use some gentle music as you move through the poses (maybe with nature sounds).
 
Start by taking a few long stretches and big breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth with a sigh sitting in butterfly.  These breaths signal the body to relax.
 
Then move through the poses staying in each pose for 3 – 5 breaths.  Do 2 -3 cycles and finish off in ladybug with a lovely affirmation i.e “I’m a happy bug” or “I love myself” etc
