Meet Naseem: Children's Yoga Teacher

I am Naseem - I have been practicing yoga and mindfulness for most of my life with a strong passion for learning and mental well-being. 

I am a 200+ hours qualified yoga teacher and also a zen meditation and reiki practitioner. I enjoy practicing qi gong, pilates, antigravity yoga and various activities for an equanimity of mind, body and soul. I have 15+ years of experience working with young children in schools, nurseries and montessori’s across London, specialising in special educational needs. I love being able to share my yoga experiences and practice with young students through Beam Academy. 

I believe children are our best teachers, their creative imagination helps us envision new possibilities in this world and expands our thinking and influences everything we do. Together through yoga we can radiate our energy to believe, create, trust, grow, glow, manifest and heal.

1. What activities feed your soul? 

Nature walks, ocean and meditation. 

2. What was the best vacation you took and why?

I fell in love with Cambodia on my first visit. Being able to explore Ta Prohm Temple and Angkor Wat - both beautiful locations where history intertwines with nature's embrace. Cambodia has some of the most magnificent heritage sites and kind and friendly people. 

3. Who inspires me? 

My children inspire me through their dedication, commitment and passion in all that they set to achieve. My yoga and spiritual teachers have influenced my life through their teachings in love, peace and kindness. 

4. What are your hobbies? 

Travelling the world and learning about different cultures, languages and people. I am a passionate reader that also loves kirtan(chanting), opera and salsa dancing!
