Children's Yoga Teacher

Hi, I’m Stacey!

My personal yoga journey started in 2006  when a nasty virus took hold which changed my life forever.  I fell into yoga because my body was too weak to cope with traditional fitness classes, but I very quickly became hooked!

My passion is very much on the holistic side of yoga, with the aim of promoting relaxation, calming the mind and improving health, rather than perfecting alignment. I am also a reiki practitioner and am fascinated by the world of quantum physics and how modern science is supporting the long held spiritual views that everything in our universe is energy rather than matter.

I feel incredibly privileged to be teaching children’s yoga and I see it very much as a two way process. I am excited to share age appropriate yogic tools and techniques with the children to encourage happier, calmer and more balanced versions of themselves and to help equip them with tools to cope with the stresses of modern life.  And I feel incredibly blessed to learn from the best teachers (the children) how to live in the moment, how to have fun and release my inner child and how to believe I can be anything I want to be. Children don’t have to try to be a tree, they believe they ARE the tree!

5 Questions To Get To Know Stacey

1. What’s your favorite way to spend a day off?

A trip to Box Hill walking the children’s play trail with my boys. We feed our adventurous side climbing trees, balancing on logs and swinging on ropes whilst being fully immersed in nature and experiencing it with all our senses.

2. What's your favourite ice cream?

Strawberry

3. In the summer, would you rather go to the beach or go camping?

This is a tough call. I love both. If I could guarantee my youngest wouldn’t fidget and I’d get a good night sleep perhaps it would be camping but nothing can beat the feeling of the sun warming up your skin and the sounds of the waves crashing against the shore so I think the beach edges it for me.

4. What's one thing that can instantly make your day better?

A smile or a hug from one of my boys.

5. What was the last thing you read?

Lunar Living by Kirsty Gallagher….working with the magic of the moon cycles.
