Yoga & mindfulness for 12 to 16
year olds in Secondary Schools
Yoga & mindfulness built for teens’ bodies and minds.
Currently servicing London, Brighton and Oxfordshire.
Why yoga & mindfulness works for teens
Yoga and mindfulness help teens manage stress and improve focus. Regular practice lowers heart rate and reduces cortisol. This supports clearer thinking during lessons and exams. Movement builds strength and mobility, which supports posture during long school days. Mindfulness trains attention, so teens notice thoughts and make calmer choices. Many schools report better behaviour and stronger engagement after short sessions. Teens gain simple tools that they can use in class, at home and during exams.
Yoga & mindfulness that
supports the national curriculum
Yoga and mindfulness align with the secondary curriculum by strengthening skills pupils use every day.
Sessions improve attention span, which supports reading, problem solving and extended writing. Controlled breathing helps pupils settle before tests and timed tasks. Physical practice develops coordination, flexibility and core strength, which link to PE targets.
Mindfulness supports PSHE by teaching pupils how to recognise stress, manage emotions and respond with control. Regular practice also reduces restlessness, which helps teachers run lessons with fewer interruptions.
These gains make it easier for pupils to engage with content, complete work on time and take part in class with more confidence.
